Why I want to take Chinese Class?
Essay by: Princess Flower
There is so much to learn that I don’t know where to start. I am most interested with the people, language, art and food. I really want to know how the people keep their paint brushes steady when writing or painting. I would love to learn dances of China. I have watched some dances on television and tried doing them. My goal in language is to learn the numbers and the rest of the words accept hello and good-bye. I learned how to say hello and good-bye and I remember them permanently. I learned in a Chinese class about food. I tried some sausage and really liked it. I hope in this class, we will be able to try more food.
I want to understand the government decision making in China. How is it that they can make a law requiring people to have only one child?
Someday I hope to travel to China and see the Great Wall. I wonder how long it really is!
Note from mom: Princess Flower has applied to get into a Chinese class for gifted students this summer. This is her essay that she wrote for the application.
